Leading stock exchange BSE has directed brokers to submit internal audit report for the half year ended Marchby June 30 in electronic form.

Internal Auditors for Stock Brokers

All brokers and clearing members are required to carry out complete internal audit on a half-yearly basis by independent chartered accountants or company secretaries who do not have any conflict of interest. The exchange said non-submission or delay in submitting the report by June 30 will be treated as non-compliance.

The brokers complying with the direction between July 1 to September 30 will have to pay Rs a day. Between October 1 and December 31, it stands at Rs 1, per day.
