Within the realm of hours. I didn't pay very much attention so my xp rates weren't great. Why didn't you do something more profitably efficient? Or were you going for 99 smithing? I prefer methods that require little attention.

My goal was just to get 99 smithing but this was also profitable enough that I was able to keep affording bonds just from the money I made. Just did k mith dart tips myself. You can profit off adamant bars with a small amount of patience, or if you do it when the prices are right. Rune darts are more profit than mithril. And the time you save by doing them you could earn much more doing something else. I did a little bit of adamant darts and the profits were good, but buying the bars and selling the dart tips at prices I liked took too long for my tastes and the prices were rapidly fluctuating, so I got a little worried that I'd end up losing money.

100k Mithril darts completed

I looked at rune but never tried any because 1. I was just too uncertain if I would profit. The RSBuddy graph shows mostly profitable margins, but if I had to wait patiently for every 1k bars to sell at a price I liked it would have been a pretty big hindrance.

So although rune could have been very beneficial, I took chose the route I was familiar with. I did a little bit of adamant dart tips and did profit from them but the margins were definitely less stable so I went back to mithril.

IIRC Blast Furnace allows you to smelt high level ores using less coal than required at a normal furnace.

For ores like mithril, adamantite, and runite, this amounts to massive savings. Even for steel bars it adds up. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. By signing up, you agree to our Terms and that you have read our Privacy Policy and Content Policy.
