April 15th, 1. Hay Day Strategy and Money Making Guide Hi, this is my guide to making money and doing other arbitrary things in Hay Day.

Special thanks to the Hay Day Guide Book and whoever wrote about Trees and Bushes. I'm currently level 57 so if you're lower or higher level you may have to make alterations to use this guide to your advantage. This post was last updated: Rare Item Drops Basic Money Making Principles 1.

Wheating Wheating is the process of planting all your fields with wheat and constantly harvesting and selling them to get rare items. It is easily the highest profit and xp in the game. Please note that the profit of wheating is in the rare items and not the wheat. You should simply get rid of the wheat as fast as possible when wheating to gain more profits.

If you can't sell your wheat fast enough you might need to expand your RSS, lower the price of your wheat, place more ads, or switch to another crop which you can sell faster like corn. Trees and Bushes All trees and bushes produce 13 fruit. If you have enough trees and bushes, the time it takes for a tree to fruit is completely irrelevent.

The only limiting factor of trees and bushes is saws and axes which you can get tons of from wheating. Sell in RSS at Max Selling anything and everything in your RSS at max price will generally give you the most money in the game. However, you will get no xp for doing this. Additionally, during certain special events it is more profitable to do the event than to sell in the RSS.

Special Events During the truck or boat event it is most profitable to do that type of order instead of selling in the RSS. If you know how to play the Little People event properly you can make hundreds of thousands. If you're not sure whether a particular event is profitable, simply search for info on it in these forums.

There are also some links in this guide. Barn, Silo, and Land Expansions A larger barn and silo, as well as more land is always profitable in the long run. When you're too Rich At some point you will most likely be too rich. I currently have everything maxed and expanded and I huge surplus of coins. Coins aren't so important to me anymore and it's more about the xp.

However, I still find it useful to know how to make a lot of money because nearly all my neighbors need money and I like to give money away and help out.

If you have the coins you can purchase the sweaters and essentially convert money to xp. Hypothetically, if you were insanely rich, money could be completely irrelevant to you; but at that point it's my recommendation to help out new players or give some away.

Tips and Tricks 1. Rare Items All farms have a rare, medium, and common item in each set of 3 rare items.

How to Raise Cattle: 10 Steps (with Pictures) - wikiHow

There is something in the game code to prevent hoarding. If you keep even ratios of these rare items you will find more of what you need.

If you hoard a ton of one in the set of three you will find more of that and potentially few of the other two. Buy Low and Sell High This may seem obvious, but if you can produce an item at high profit and buy a cheaper item at a lower cost, why not? For example, corn bread is common in my newspaper and I can make greater profit by producing other items in my bakery. This means I'll almost always buy corn bread when I need it and produce and sell other things in my bakery.

Helping Others This game is for fun, you can do whatever you like. I personally like to help out others by producing the items which are less common in the newspaper to sell to friends and strangers.

I also only help 1 tree when I find them on a farm so more players can get the thank you notes. Dairy, Sugar and Jams All of these items, especially dairy items are extremely rare due to high demand and their use as so many ingredients in products.

I like to carefully manage my resources so I always have a supply of these things. For me, this means ignoring boats, trucks, town people requests, etc. Especially the raw ingredients. Again, you can do whatever you want, this is just what I do to have fun.

Machines and Diamonds I like to use diamonds on expanding production slots where I need them and getting more space in my RSS. I find this the most cost effective use of them.

I idle some machines like the coffee kiosk and soup kitchen by default.

This is because they waste a ton of dairy with little return on your investment. Ads If you put up an ad on a slow seller you can get more exposure to your shop. Some good dummy ad items are: Another trick is putting up a help flag on just one tree, bush, or crate at a time.

The help flags will get more traffic to your RSS. Cast off Boat You can cast off a boat unfilled by using the highlighted 'cast off' button. However, you can only cast off a boat and get a new one in 4 hours if you haven't yet filled any crates or asked for help on any crates. Little People The visitors to your farm will ask for the 2 things you have most of in your barn and silo. They will also ask for anything you have 0 of.

For this reason, it's usually wise to hold at least 1 of everything and potentially a lot of what you want to get rid of to sell to them. Common Items Just about everything in the game will sell for max price eventually if you have ads up.

If not, Tom or Greg will buy it. That said, sometimes you don't want to wait. It's good to know which items are common, which are very common, and which are rare. Very common items include: Some people may disagree, but I find it helpful to know. Money Transfer You can transfer money in the game by selling an item such as blue sweaters 10 for one coin or default and buying back at max.

Rinse and repeat to transfer as much money as you want. It's helpful to have chat and no ads up when doing this. Multiple Accounts If you have an extra device lying around you can create a second or tertiary farm. You would need to create all separate and new accounts or risk deleting your original farm. Please only attempt this at your own risk and discretion.

It could potentially violate the terms of use of some associated companies. Machine Stacking If your barn is full, you can stack up extra items on your machines provided you keep your barn full. I believe the maximum number of items you can stack on a machine is For example, if your barn was full, you could keep spending 3 wheat to 'stack up' bread on your bakery.

This strategy can be helpful when you want to keep stockpiling good items without using up your barn space. The below probably looks like gibberish. I'll try to explain what I was doing below.

This item is valuable, but overproduced in the current marketplace. Or, yields a negative profit. All values are minus the price of ingredients and done in hours of production. All values are also based on player demand, and not Tom and Greg. If you want to sell to Tom and Greg you'll have to recalculate for max sale values. The first number is how many items at what price. The second number is the profit per hour. The third number is profit per item like overnight or on vacation.

The fourth number is xp per hour. Lastly, the fifth number is xp per item. Syrup 1x 90 fast Bacon 50x1 slow to dead Tiggerr and meonhoc for their help with this guide! Quingernut View Profile View Forum Posts. Hi i really like your guide but there are a few problems i have. Ok so why do you feel the need to wheat farm? I now have a policy to not click on ads for those products. You dont deserve the exposure if thats all your selling. The way i run my rss is this.. I produce goods that are hard to find in the market like juices jams rare cakes and pies and then ill advertise something that is still good but is a little easier to find like roasted tomatoes chilli popcorn or sweaters.

That way my ad still stays up for a while and im not clogging the paper with useless junk. Im currently level 36 and ive never had any shortage of money i always have enough for that new machine or upgrade before i even hit the level. Yes you make money selling wheat eggs etc.

I've attracted quite a few followers who buy from me regularly so i no longer even need to advertise, i only advertise if my goods are sitting in my shop for a while.

I just made 10k in the last hour using my method. Tweezle View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message. Originally Posted by Quingernut. Tiggerr View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message.

I also need lots of saws, axes and mining equipment. You don't want to buy wheat? No skin off my nose, i sell at anything between 1 and 10 coin and I usually barely keep up with demand so clearly LOTS of people think differently to you. So if you think I'm a 'jerk' for selling wheat then quite frankly you know where you can go!!! You have lots of followers? And i get more with each wheating session. They and I just shop in each other's shop.

Followers are welcome to shop too, and they can then get the good stuff too. Last edited by Tiggerr; April 15th, at To the guide writer. I am sorry but your guide leaves way too much out and includes way too much that isn't of value or not found somewhere else. Your opinion of certain products doesn't take into account that different level players need those items as they have unlocked machines you don't have and can't comprehend.

You are playing as if you are only playing with the same or lower level players. Most people will not be doing this. What you see as worthless products I often buy at max price when I need them as do many other forum members. I regularly price wool and eggs at max price and sell them within hours because I know there are many forum members who would rather buy them than take up the room in their farm for the pens. Many things in your guide clearly state they are for your farm only. I don't see how that can help anyone else.

Also what you say is available in the paper applies also only to you.

No one sees the same paper. Even with your explanation I find all your numbers too confusing to deal with. Your advice about the little people is mistaken. They can be quite helpful with items you can't make yet and as a method to manage the silo.

Too many trees and bushes doesn't take into account the need for saws and axes. Your opinion of popcorn is very very wrong. I make it all day long, and use it to fill boats or sell it at max and it is gone immediately as boats ask for a lot of it. I could go on but I think you get the point. I hope this guide helps you but I can't recommend it to new people as it leaves out too much and is a bit too extreme with regards to certain products.

This game is very well thought out and often folks can't see the value of something until they get to a point where they have unlocked every machine and each aspect of the game. Originally Posted by Tiggerr Last edited by dmofalterak; April 15th, at Originally Posted by CissyH.

Since the wiki is linked to in many of the main guides and the new people tips, anything that they can get there would be redundant and probably closed. What seems to work best is when questions are asked, and many people answer with their suggestions and explanations.

That's how the wheating guide came about. It is one small aspect born out of the need to get SEM and BEM. There is a guide about pets that came out when the pets did. I only wish that the person who wrote it would edit it to include the donkeys and the rabbits.

The guide book started as a way for those doing the captains achievement or helping with that to know how many of each item the boats would ask for. No need to make 32 soups but 20 breads would not be enough. Other things were added along the way but it is still just a list of items that can be produced. No one item is deemed more valuable than another or even listed as rare, premium or ubiquitous. Therefore it remains a helpful guide even now after the addition of the sauce, sandwich and salad machines which have turned soybeans and eggs into valuable commodities.

Just recently it was mentioned that smoothies were hard to sell. During the discussion, I mentioned that I was going to buy them all up when the group sharply discounted them and see what the little people would do. They pay pretty good at about per red smoothie. If I were a guide writer, I might do some research and see what the little people paid for each item verses what the sweet price in the shop was.

Mexico Mexican Money Currency Bank Notes Exchange Banks ATMs

But I'm not and I don't know if anyone would value that information or not. But that's the kind of single issue that I am talking about. Someone put out a guide about how to really clean up during a little people event. Those are the kinds of things that people of all levels can benefit from. So , my advice, find the guide on how to write guides. It was just written today. If you discover something you think is new. See if someone wrote about it yet. If it is a new thing, get help from the group by posting a question.

Then go from there. There was a great guide and FAQ that I used a lot when I started and I couldn't figure out why the mods didn't sticky it. When i asked, they told me that some of it was out dated. Any guide that can't be constantly updated isn't going to be any good, and until you have played a long time and posted a lot, whether you will hang around to keep your guide updated will always be questioned.

It took me eight months to get the respect necessary to get just a list of links stickied. Similar Threads The Ultimate Guide for Guide Making By Savannah in forum General Discussion. August 20th, , April 12th, , July 16th, , February 25th, , All times are GMT. The time now is
