If you know of or encounter a scam then this is the place to let people know about it, maybe even get some help from others who have dealt with it before. Given the nature of this subreddit you should treat any external links as suspect. That's if we mods get to it first though, if the admins do it'll probably mean a ban from all of reddit.

Something to bear in mind when posting information about a private individual. Block out email addresses, phone numbers, usernames, and last names or your post will be removed. Company information will be handled on a case by case basis.

If you see something that shouldn't be here, please report it or send us a modmail so we can take a look. Access my Facebook via TeamViewer scam? Has anybody heard of this as a scam? Seems legit, I'm texting the guy and he's answering my concerns honestly.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered something like this. If you don't mind the possibility of permanently giving up control of your facebook account, and you don't mind that your facebook account might be used to scam others, and you don't mind if all your facebook contacts might get scammed, and you don't mind that you might never be paid for permanently giving up control of your facebook account, then be my guest, sell your facebook username and password to someone on Craigslist and see if they are legit or not The bottom line here is that there is a market for active facebook accounts, and there is no way to know if THIS particular person is legit or not.

They might be, or they might not be. Why would anyone need access to your Facebook account? It can't be GOOD?!?! And it usually isn't Someone hacked my account about 5 years ago and started sending my friends "GOD only KNOWS what" and one friend dropped me because of whatever offensive thing the hacker sent to her I'm guessing your account, since you're granting access to it, will be used as a zombie follower. You'll be paid but you end up liking a million different pages that you don't give a shit about.

I've never heard of this company, it's just I'm on the other end as a designer and I see some clients who have purchased "likes" and these random accounts some real, some obviously fake , are following them because they purchased some package.

I was texting one guy the whole time, a different guy did the actual TeamViewer work and was the same guy that the PayPal money came from , and a girl had called and left me a voicemail after I said I was going to remove the ad because I hadn't received payment immediately. I looked them up on Facebook, they're out of San Diego, they're legit. Basically they are affiliate marketers and they need your facebook account to run the ad manager post up those clickbait ads you see on the side.

They are not interested in your personal details or your personal account at all This wouldn't affect your personal account at all. But if you ever want to run your own ads someday, you would be banned for life and there is no way around that. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Accidentally sent a scammer a picture of my Driver's License, but nothing else, should I be worried? This is an archived post. You won't be able to vote or comment. No company name, just some lone email address Posts are automatically archived after 6 months.
