What is the best WoD $profession$? - World of Warcraft Forums

I recently came back to WoW and boosted to 90 when I purchased WoD, I was wondering what you guys think will be the top 2 gold making professions come WoD. What are your thoughts? It's too early to tell since we haven't even hit beta to see how all the changes effect everything else.

Safe bet I would think is gathering if you want to spend time farming. If you'll just use it while questing and then not leave your main city because you're just PvPing then I'd suggest going a different route.

Perhaps enchanting to be able to DE all the stuff you use and then no longer need, sell off all the mats which will have really high prices early on. Things will change from now to release, but at this point, it looks like a lot of people who have no interest in crafting and only do it for the performance perks will change professions to gathering.

If that happens, it will lower the price of raw mats because over-supply , and put more value on the crafting professions.

At the beginning of the expansion, there will be less max level crafters of any profession because people level their main dude and that's it , so imho, if you want to make some gold at the start of the expansion you will need something on your main that sells lots of different things that are unobtainable on a reroll, if that makes sense.

But if you need to loot techniques from mobs in higher content, then the people with Inscription on their main will make a killing in profits. Garrisons will break the economy.
