Lana now works as a commercial lawyer at a leading international law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills. Lana is passionate about working with teenagers. She has been closely involved with Rotary youth programs for the last 10 years, and was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow in In her spare time, Lana sits on the board of Edventures WA, does coaching for law competitions and volunteers with Rotary projects.

D espite seeing a reduction in the incidence rate, Meningitis remains a disease that people from all walks of life fear. It can cause death or lasting disabilities. The Meningitis Centre strives to eliminate meningitis in Australia. It has successfully lobbied for vaccines and and produced materials for educating the community across Australia to be aware of the signs and symptoms.

It also provides support for families affected by the disease. With Meningitis, every second counts. In a rich and generally compassionate society, how is it that there are 4, children in the care of the State and some 17, investigations of child abuse and neglect occur each year? Georgina was born in Port Hedland, delivered by Dr Harold Dicks who was both the local doctor and RFDS pilot, an iconic and important member of this outback community.

She grew up on sheep stations in the Pilbara with the aborigines, the men helping run the property and the women working at the homestead, life was busy, isolated and happy.

CEO The Fathering Project. The Fathering Project seeks to provide children with the best chance in life by inspiring and equipping fathers to be better. Wayne Bradshaw has been the CEO of The Fathering Project for the past 3 years. Prior to this time he was CEO for 10 years at the West Australian Football Commission who are responsible for the oversight of football in WA, including the ownership of the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers, management of Domain Stadium, and the conduct of the WAFL and community football throughout the state.

He is the founder, past chairman and rider for the Hawaiian Ride for Youth which raises funds for Youth Focus. Wayne is married to Ingrid and they have two adult children. People all over the World are becoming aware that Justice Systems are ineffective in reducing crime or materially assisting victims. Broadly they attempt to firstly protect the community by warehousing for a while and secondly to punish by harming the offender in such a way as to reflect the damage done to the victim.

Real compensation is generally unobtainable. Eventually everyone including the community ends up harmed with little hope for anything better. Victims of crime have had enough of this and some of them have become aware of the benefits of Restorative Justice both for themselves and for offenders.

Reach For Life Australia is an Association run by and for Victims which operates an in prison programme providing some of these benefits in a 7 week programme involving prisoners and unrelated victims. Michael Cockram has facilitated 29 such programmes since He is a retired lawyer and was awarded an Order of Australia AM in connection with this work.

He will be accompanied by a victim of crime Nicole Haberley who has participated in these courses and has now become a facilitator of the programme and can verify the benefits personally.

He is currently the Chairman of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority. Rob Bransby is currently Managing Director of HBF Health Limited. Rob joined HBF in August as Group General Manager. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in January and Managing Director in January He is also Director of HBF Financial Services Pty Ltd and HealthGuard Health Benefits Pty Ltd.
